Harrvest helps you choose which produce is best to grow in your area, as well as providing helpful tips and tricks to get the most out of your garden. We use your climate region to provide an approximate guide to help decide which produce is best to plant for your location, and when to plant it.
What is a climate region?
A climate region, also known as a hardiness zone, is a region defined by certain factors such as the annual lowest temperature. Using this information, you can choose produce that will grow well in your garden through the year. For consistency, Harrvest uses the USDA Plant Hardiness Scale across all regions.
Climate regions are an approximate guide, and your garden may have certain conditions that allow you to grow produce outside of the expected season. If you're unsure, ask questions on our produce pages, and contact local gardeners for advice.
